Weapons[edit]

  • Junker - 10" range, POW 12 gun.
  • Great Wrench - 0.5" reach, P+S 9 melee weapon.

Abilities[edit]

  • Mercenary - Will work as a Cygnar mercenary, Khador mercenary, or Protectorate of Menoth mercenary.
  • 'Jack Marshal - All 'jack marshals share the same set of special rules, which basically amount to: This model is not a warcaster but may control a warjack.
  • Tough - When this model is disabled, roll a d6. On a 5 or 6, remove 1 damage point from this model; it is no longer disabled and becomes knocked down. While knocked down this model loses Tough.
  • Drive: Off-Road - Warjacks under Dirty Meg's control which start a move in her CMD range gain Pathfinder for that move. Also, if it ends its activation in Meg's CMD range the warjack gains Reposition [3"]. (Reposition [3"] - At the end of an activation in which it did not run or fail a charge, this model can advance up to 3", then its activation ends.)
  • Iron Sentinel - While B2B with a friendly Faction warjack, this model gains +2 DEF and ARM and cannot become knocked down.
  • Repair [d6] (★ Action) - This model can remove d6 damage points from a friendly Faction construct model in B2B.


Thoughts on Dirty Meg[edit]

Dirty Meg in a nutshell[edit]

Dirty Meg is a cheap jack marshal with repair who happens to also be a Privateer. She can also shoot at warjacks to make them stationary. Her drive is both reposition and, importantly, Pathfinder. Because jack marshalling without power booster is fairly weak, she is usually a repair bot who takes the odd disruption shot.

Jack Marshal thoughts[edit]

Most players prefer to take her without a warjack.

If you're going to jack marshal something, there are a few options:

  • Talon - the cheap and tough melee light warjack you throw at the enemy and make them choke.
  • Buccaneer - the cheapest warjack in mercenaries, its knockdown net can be pretty effective. A knockdown-and-stationary combination can keep a heavy fairly well occupied.
  • Freebooter - the light warjack on steroids likes to be marshalled for the flat to hit buff.

And of course you can't go wrong with a Nomad

Non-jack combos & synergies[edit]

She is of course a Privateer so Captain Phinneus Shae and Doc Killingsworth can both buff her.

Drawbacks & Downsides[edit]

  • You're buying her for the jack marshal ability, not her own merits.
  • If you want to repair non-merc warjacks you're probably better off with Colbie Sterling, Captain of the BRI instead. (Or possibly Moorclaw - but he lacks good drives at present)

  • Remember, stationary only prevents what it says it does. Refer the recap on stationary for what models can/can't do.

Rules Clarification : 'Jack Marshal      (Edit)

  • Marshals can take character jacks (unlike in Mk2). (Closed thread)
  • Although they never get the Power Up bonus, a marshaled warjack can gain focus via other means (such as Accumulator, Empower, Spirit Harvester, etc).
    • They can do this even after the Marshal dies and they become autonomous (unlike in Mk2).
  • 'Jack Marshal & Ranking Officer (Edit)
    • If a Ranking Officer joins a unit with the 'Jack Marshal ability, then they can still only take Mercenary warjacks - they don't gain access to Faction warjacks. (Infernal Ruling)
    • They can control that mercenary warjack as normal, even though they're technically no longer the same faction as the jack. (Infernal Ruling)

Rules Clarification : Drive      (Edit)

  • If the Drive is on an Officer model, and that model dies, then the new unit commander does not inherit the Drive.

Rules Clarification : Off-Road      (Edit)

  • The Pathfinder applies to any advance, not just during activation.
  • The Pathfinder applies to the entire advance, even if you walk out of CMD range.
  • The Reposition only applies during activation (obviously), but it's a "while within" which means you can start your activation outside CMD, walk into CMD range, then end your activation and gain it.

  • When repairing warjacks, you can choose which damage boxes to heal - they don't all have to be the same column.
  • If you get a +1 bonus to a repair roll, that is one extra hitpoint healed. Not +1 to the number of pips showing on the dice.
